Hi, I'm Amanda!

I’m a mama, life coach, yoga teacher, and avid learner of how to get out of my own way.

I have been teaching and practicing yoga for over 15 years and during that time I have developed a deep curiosity and passion for living bravely and in congruence with what’s in my heart. So with that mission in mind, I am forever on a journey of taking risks, failing, getting back up again, and never giving up on myself or my dreams.

My curiosity about human potential coupled with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Educational Leadership has led me on a career path that's included working as a Training and Development Manager as well as a Human Resources Professional for a variety of companies including Backcountry.com and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters; teaching an assortment of courses through the Community College of Vermont; and providing one-on-one and group coaching support as a Certified Life and Business Coach.

Five years ago I opened a yoga studio in Putney, Vermont that was much loved by myself and the community.  However, due to COVID-19, I decided to close the studio and transition to the online space. I wanted to keep the community connected and I also wanted to immerse myself in creating, teaching, and guiding others in developing an inspiring and supportive home practice - something that would help with the current stress of the world as well as support a deeper relationship with self. As with all of my endeavors, I wanted this new path to focus on helping others grab hold of their lives and steer in the direction of freedom for their body, mind, and heart. And so, Brave New Yoga was born.

It is an absolute delight to share this space with you, to support you, and to teach what I am always in the process of learning, which is to live with courage and love.
